Rabies is a deadly yet preventable viral infection, primarily transmitted through the bites or scratches of infected animals such as dogs, cats, bat and many more. While it is nearly 100% fatal once symptoms appear, it is also 100% preventable through timely intervention. In the Philippines, rabies remains a significant public health concern, claiming between 200 and 300 lives annually.
